The Avengers deleted scenes - Bruce Banner [x]

 #I have a lot of feelings about this scene #because what the guard is basically asking bruce is #are you bruce who turns into the hulk or are you the hulk who turns into bruce #the answer to that question could change his entire life and his entire sense of being #is he the timid guy who tries to do good but sometimes turns into something he can’t control #or is he the out of control hulk who sometimes happens to turn into a timid guy #is he bruce or is he the hulk #and he doesn’t know the answer #so basically he doesn’t know who or what he is anymore #just imagine the inner conflict he must have on a daily basis #it would be terrible and many other people wouldn’t be able to deal with it #but bruce learns to deal with it#he learns that he is bruce who happens to turn into the hulk and he learns to control it #thus being able to help the avengers when he arrives during the battle #he basically overcame his entire existential problem in order to help them out

#or maybe he didn’t #maybe he decided that he was the hulk #the hulk who tried to do good and so he knew that he was capable of good #that’s why he says ‘that’s my secret cap, I’m always angry’ #because truthfully he is the hulk #but the hulk is capable of love and goodness too #because all along marvel was trying to teach us #that it doesn’t matter how out of control you get #how much of a monster you seem #or even how much you hate yourself #you are always capable of being a hero
